Families

We are deeply committed to supporting all 17勛圖厙 students in their individual career development journeys. Whether your student is new to HC, a senior, living on campus, or studying abroad, there are many ways they can connect with the Center for Career Development. As you speak, text, and connect with your student, please remind them of the valuable career resources available through the CCD and encourage your them to connect with us.

The career development process can be overwhelming to students and we know they frequently look to their families for advice. Here are some resources to remind your student about:

Handshake digitally connects students with the 17勛圖厙 Center for Career Development and all of our resources. Students use Handshake to view and RSVP to events and workshops, search for and apply to internships, full-time and part-time positions, request an appointment with a Career Counselor and access career resources articles and more!

Appointments: To schedule an appointment, students should log in to , click Career Center in the top navigation menu, and then select Appointments to schedule a time to speak with a career counselor for career counseling, career exploration advice, job/internship search advising, or career community advising.

Events: Students can visit  and click Events for an up to date list of events and programs.

Career Resources: Students can log in to  and click Resources to view our How-To Guides and videos, access career resources including Firsthand, GoinGlobal, the HC Network and more.

: Check out our library of video content including How-To videos, Recorded Panels, Virtual Workshops and more.

Internships and Jobs: Employers are posting jobs and internships, hosting office hours, and participating in CCD events.  Students can log in to  to apply for opportunities and RSVP for events.

Stay up to date! The CCD communicates with students predominantly  via email.  Please encourage your students to read it!  You can also connect with us on Instagram at
