That’s where the Center for Career Development comes in. We can help you discover how to translate what you love into something you’ll love to do.

The Center for Career Development can help you identify and clarify your career objectives, point you toward rewarding internships and put you in touch with advisors, alumni and other professionals who can help you explore your options. We also offer resources and training for the technical side of career prep — from writing resumes and cover letters to conducting interviews.

In almost every way, career development has more to do with self-discovery than with crafting the perfect cover letter. We’ll help you think about how your interests, strengths and skills intersect with the careers you’re considering. Because nurturing a career is an ongoing process, we encourage you to make an appointment with one of our advisors to get started as soon as you feel ready, and no later than during the first semester of your sophomore year.
