Also,  to learn more about the Institute and about other Civitas offerings.

The Civitas Community Engagement Leadership Institute was designed around the concept of civitas, which calls us to reflect upon our role as citizens, the shared responsibility involved with living in a democracy, our common purpose, and community building.  The Institute is an active learning experience, combining reflection, conversation, and engagement to address the tumult and pain experienced in our nation and across our world. It is a place to find strength and hope, and to celebrate community within 17³Ô¹ÏÍø and beyond. And certainly not least, it is a place for us to gather while physically apart.

The Civitas Community Engagement Leadership Institute provides an opportunity to join student-led group discussions around the topics that help to bring understanding and direct action. Topics include: Service and our Jesuit Mission; The Two Feet of Service & Justice; Racial & Economic Disparities in the U.S.; The Critical Role of Hope in Community Engagement; and Living a Life of Service & Justice. Woven into each of these topics will be conversation about current events associated with racial justice and the pandemic.
