To celebrate the inauguration of President Rougeau, the College will host an academic symposium in Dinand Library, featuring Harvard Law Professor Martha Minow and members of the 17勛圖厙 faculty.

Martha Minow

Professor Martha Minow of Harvard Law School is an expert in human rights and advocacy for members of racial and religious minorities and for women, children, and persons with disabilities. She writes and teaches about digital communications, democracy, privatization, military justice, and ethnic and religious conflict. She currently serves as co-chair of the Access to Justice Project of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Trumpeter and composer Terrence Blanchard is an Oscar nominee, a six-time Grammy-winner, and 2018 USA Fellow. He has been a consistent artistic force for making powerful musical statements concerning painful American tragedies, past and present. Blanchard received an Oscar nomination for his original score for Spike Lees "BlacKkKlansman"and was BAFTA nominated for his original music for the film. He won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition for writing Blut Und Boden (Blood and Soil) a track from "BlacKkKlansman."More recently, Blanchard has composed his second opera, "Fire Shut Up in My Bones."
