Laboratory and Studio Safety

The College of 17³Ô¹ÏÍø (17³Ô¹ÏÍø) is committed to protecting the safety of its personnel and the health of its environment in all the school’s diverse activities. This is accomplished primarily through a strong partnership with Academic Affairs (including faculty, lab staff, and students), Facilities, Public Safety, and our Environmental Health and Safety team (EH&S).

EH&S assists 17³Ô¹ÏÍø laboratories and studios by providing routine services such as inspections & risk assessments, coordinating biosafety, chemical safety, laser safety, process safety, and/or radiation support, providing training on various EH&S topics, and facilitating an Institutional Biosafety Committee, a Chemical Safety Committee, and an EH&S Committee.
Individuals working in laboratories and studios who have questions regarding safety and their work environment should contact their EHS Liaison, listed below.

If individuals are experiencing or have experienced any adverse health effects that may be associated with the work environment, they should immediately seek medical attention and then contact Public Safety.
