The library, situated on the first floor of the Museum, promotes the study of all aspects of icons and Eastern Christian art and supports research in iconology and iconography—including conservation, historical and comparative studies, and the study of geopolitical, religious, and spiritual aspects of icons.  With its distinguished collection the library offers an open and accessible environment for scholars, researchers, and enthusiasts seeking to deepen their understanding of Orthodox and other Eastern Christian cultures from all regions and periods.

Requests
Materials from the Icon Museum Library can be requested via the with the following guidelines:
- This service is free of charge.
- Delivery time for requested items is one-to-two business days.
- Upon arrival, you will be notified based on the pickup location selected.
- For 17³Ô¹ÏÍø faculty, the loan period for borrowed materials is 28 days.
- Students are restricted to in-library use only, and items will be held until their use is no longer needed or the 28 day due date is reached.
