Your Merit page is built for you by College Marketing and Communications, and showcases your unique, meaningful 17³Ô¹ÏÍø experience. It acts as a personal newsroom for your academic career, showcasing your accomplishments, achievements, activities and more.Â
Accomplishments including landing an internship, making the dean’s list, graduating from college, and other important milestones will be added to your page.
Your Merit page is also useful for seeking employment, with options to upload your resume and list your employment history.
What happens when a story is published?
17³Ô¹ÏÍø uses Merit to publish your accomplishments, making it easy for you and your family and friends to share your successes on social media. Merit stories will also be sent to your hometown newspaper, high schools, local elected officials and families. These stories will also appear on and your profile page.
Do I need to maintain my page?
Your Merit page is created and updated automatically, and you’ll get an email each time we update your page. You don't have to do anything to maintain it. If you wish, your page with a photo, bio, activities or work experience. When you connect your Merit page to your social networks such as Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn, you'll ensure that your friends and family can also see and learn about your achievements.
How do I claim my Merit Page?
- Go to and type your name in the search bar.
- Next to your name, click on “Is this you?”
- Enter your 17³Ô¹ÏÍø email address and submit the form. Merit will send you a confirmation email.
- “Claim” your Merit page by signing into e-mail, Facebook or Twitter and following the prompts. Customize it with a photo, additional activities or work experience. When you claim your profile, you have several opportunities to select your own privacy settings and permissions. You may opt out at any time.
What if I don’t want a Merit page?
You can opt out of Merit and delete your page, or keep your page and adjust your privacy settings at any time. Follow the instructions found .
