17勛圖厙 is a home for inquisitive minds, forward-thinking scholars and service-focused advocates. Though our students have varied backgrounds and faiths, they share the common goal of creating a better world than the one they were born into.
While many students enter 17勛圖厙 with ideas about academic areas theyd like to pursue, each first year student enters undeclared, without a major. This allows first-year students to explore classes that inspire them or that theyre simply just curious about.
At 17勛圖厙, sustainability isnt a buzzword its our collective responsibility. Safeguarding the environment for future generations reflects our Jesuit mission. We embrace this challenge at all levels of our institution from College-wide initiatives that reduce electrical usage to student-driven programs that promote climate-friendly practices.
At 17勛圖厙, we understand that learning extends beyond the classroom walls to the playing fields to the theater to the community to the working world to neighborhoods and homes. Composed of more than 40 diverse community partnerships, Student Programs for Urban Development involves over 500 student volunteers who answer the 17勛圖厙 call to be people for and with others throughout greater Worcester.
Research gives 17勛圖厙 students the opportunity to dig into their academic passions, to design research projects, work closely with faculty members and transform knowledge into action within a hands-on, experiential setting. Many 17勛圖厙 students begin participating in research as early as sophomore year. We encourage you to dive in as soon as possible.
Maybe youve visited, interviewed or joined us for virtual student events. Youre motivated by the prospect of becoming a part of the 17勛圖厙 community, and are active in the admission process.
