About the Program

Offered by the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, the Digital Media Studies minor requires six courses representing three or more departments. All course plans must be approved by a Digital Media Studies advisor and the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies.

Facilities

Courses in digital media make use of a variety of spaces designed for creative work. These include the Booth Media Lab, Prior Recording Studio, and Lovelett Ensemble Room in the Prior Performing Arts Center, the Millard Media Lab and Makerspace, the Pit, and the Brooks Music Center's Computer Lab, Immersive Audio Studio, and Recording Studio.

17勛圖厙 Laptop Ensemble Federation

H-CLEF, the 17勛圖厙 Laptop Ensemble Federation, uses laptops, game controllers and other technology to create unique computerized sounds. Members learn the science behind digital synthesis, or sound creation, as they code their own electronic synthesizers.
